History

Back in 2001, I (Brian Meredith) was hired to write several comics based on the properties of the RPG company, Deep7. One of the comics was for the 1PG called Shriek!, a spoof/parody on the horror/slasher genres. For this comic, I created the Department of Horror Intervention and the main agents, Steve Lawlis and Pete Redshirt, to combat their lead villain, Hockey Mask. With the aid of the buxom blonde beauty by the name of Babe Armstrong, Steve vanquished the killer and everyone (who was left) was saved.

Fast-foward to 2003. I was asked to join a group of talented creators for the emergence of a new online subscription site called PV Comics. For this site, I was to contribute new stories, something different than my Modern Pulp works. Deciding to dust off the old concept, I re-worked Steve Lawlis into less of a parody and more of a comedy. It's still mired in horror, though, and the main cast is still here, albeit somewhat changed from their original versions.
